Mutants were born one day when I was walking in the flea market and I found some bags full of small metal objects shaped like little swords. When I asked the saleswoman what they were, she told me that they were zip ties for clothes of antique jackets.

Without hesitation I took it without knowing what I could use it for, at that moment I had hundreds or thousands of zippers at my disposal, zippers that could be or have been hundreds or thousands of garments that could have belonged to hundreds or thousands of different people with different desires, lives, stories. Closure implies a beginning and an end, an opening and a closing and at the same time a path. I became obsessed with this infinite number of moments, of each path that they could have accompanied, although they appeared to me homogeneous, uniformed. The wire is the common thread that unites the closures society. Each loose closure can be an individual with an infinite number of paths and possibilities, but grouped together they are limited to a pattern, a common rhythm, a collective dynamic. I think the concept of transformation is key to understanding the purpose of my pieces. A path formed from the conjunction of different sensitivities of cold metals grouped in search of heat, and the question: is this the way to find it?
On the way from Buenos Aires to Barcelona, they lost their way and five months later, marked by destiny, they mutated, and retransformed. They arrive at the exhibition so that we humans can see in them what time does with matter, their own construction site?
